Assist-Travel/Transport

As part of our mission to break down barriers to inclusion for people with disabilities, we’re committed to helping those we serve get where they need, and want, to go via accessible transportation.Our provision includes to enable participation in community, social, economic and daily life activities and specialist transport arrangements.

We help people find rides and transportation resources to reach employment, appointments, shopping and other destinations. We also can support an organization’s ability to connect with transportation and mobility services in their community.

Sheba Support Services can help people with disabilities and older adults find out about their community’s available transportation services and connects individuals with transportation operators and mobility managers who can assist in finding transportation when they need it.

If you or someone you care for has a disability and needs help to get around, there is support available including:

1. help to use public transport such as trains, trams, buses and taxis
   help for people who can drive a private vehicle
2. support to use bicycles as a form of transport
3. the mobility allowance to help with the cost of travel.

We help physically disabled individuals to live their lives independently by making efforts of rendering access- alternative forms of transport as a result of their disability.
